Position Title: Engineer

Location: Mississauga (Port Credit), Ontario Filamat Composites Inc.

Job Description:
We have a current need for a skilled Engineer, to be located in our fiberglass composites Manufacturing facility in Mississauga (Port Credit), Ontario. The focus of the Engineer's role is to provide engineering and design requirements in order to develop a new and innovative FRP storage tank product family, and, once developed, the role will be responsible for taking the product to market. The ideal candidate will be a sound engineering professional (P.Eng.) with the desire and ability to manage the product's development and to effectively market the product to customers. This position requires a highly motivated, creative engineer with sales experience (or a keen interest in and aptitude for sales), and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Development and design of a new and innovative FRP storage tank product family to achieve customer satisfaction, quality, and manufacturing efficiency;
• Preparation of detailed fabrication drawings for the manufacturing team;
• Compliance with the Engineering requirements of the OS&B Process;
• Preparing estimates, quotes and design specifications for customers;
• Promoting the sale and expansion of the product line to the market.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Minimum 5 years' drafting, engineering and design experience in a custom manufacturing environment;
• Fibreglass composite experience and/or CCT designation is a definite asset;
• Sales experience in a B2B environment is strongly preferred;
• Must be proficient with Solidworks and CAD software - individuals without such proficiency will not be considered;
• Proficiency with Cosmos FEA software is a strong asset;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills;
• Excellent presentation skills;
• Interpersonal skills which enable the candidate to interface well with customers and employees at all levels of the organization;
• Strongly self-motivated team player.
